The Look For Less

Happy Monday!  Normally I wouldn't be too thrilled to start another work week, but a.) it's going to be in the 80's today and b.) during my routine craigslist hunt, I found my next little project: a bamboo bar cart.  I have seen this little piece of design heaven everywhere and I think it is about time I joined the trend!  Plus, once I have the cart I can start to accessorize with fancy decanters and pretty glassware:)

Unfortunately, at $325, this cart is a tad out of my budget at the moment.  But, I've made up my mind that my house can't do without one, so I'm on a mission to find a less expensive look-alike.  Any ideas on where to begin my search?!?

Lazy Lake Days

I just spent the weekend relaxing by the lake and enjoying the beautiful April weather.  I took advantage of the lazy weekend to look through my new Veranda magazine and came across these two very different spaces.  I have made a decision...a leopard print footstool is just what I need to shake up my living room!  Don't you just love all the neutral tones?

The contrast between the thick horizontal stripes in the rug and the natural waves of the leopard print make this room both chic and sophisticated!

The second room is more relaxed and suttle.  Wouldnt it be wonderful to wake up at the lake and drink your coffee in this space?  I love the emerald on the lamp base and love those french doors. All this room is missing are some fun pillows for the chairs.  Maybe in a caramel? What kinds of accessories would you add??
